The Adopt a Child/Family for Christmas program is a great opportunity for you and your co-workers to do something that will really give you the Christmas spirit. Your involvement in this program will make sure that a family in need from our community will have Christmas.

This program accepts only screened referrals from county agencies and local schools. We match those referrals with donors that will provide Christmas gifts and other needs at Christmas. We provide donors with information on age, needs and wishes of the children and family. After the gifts are received by the program the case manager referring the family will deliver the gifts.

The amount or what the donors provide is very flexible some donors choose to purchase gifts, toy, clothes etc. and provide non perishable food items or gift certificates for Christmas dinner. Some choose to sponsor a whole family or just one child. Some wish to give cash or gift certificate donations. However you choose to participate when you see the generosity of our local community you will be overwhelmed. The donations are stored until distribution at the Yuba City Police Department and they fill the whole atrium area.

In the last three years we have now benefited from 360 donors and provided toys, bikes gift certificates, and food baskets for 900 children from 265 families.
